The Jesselton Journal of Educators and Scholars (JJES) is a peer-reviewed, open access scholarly journal published quarterly by Jesselton University College Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia (e-ISSN: 3009-0881).
JJES publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, and scholarly analyses in the fields of Education, Business, Arts and Humanities, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. The journal aims to advance academic and professional knowledge by providing a platform for the dissemination of research that demonstrates theoretical rigor, empirical relevance, and interdisciplinary engagement.
Serving as a global platform for research from diverse regions and disciplines, JJES encourages comparative and cross-regional studies. While welcoming work from around the world, the journal offers particular expertise in connecting Southeast Asian perspectives to broader international debates. JJES accepts both region-specific and globally-focused research, with or without direct connection to Southeast Asia.
JJES follows a quarterly publishing schedule with a rolling publication model. Accepted articles are published online promptly after acceptance and completion of the editorial process, each assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and full metadata for indexing. Articles are later compiled into the scheduled issue to ensure both timely dissemination and structured archival.
All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process involving at least two independent reviewers. Evaluation is based on originality, methodological soundness, contribution to the field, and alignment with the journal’s scope. All published articles are archived in secure digital repositories and are made freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted use with proper attribution.
JJES upholds the highest standards of publication ethics in line with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
